Collection History:

Jesse H. Bratley taught at reservation schools between about 1895 and 1910, including the Rosebud Reservation school in South Dakota between about 1895 and 1899. This print is probably from the collection of Horace G. Jennerson (1863-1940, a teacher at Pine Ridge, South Dakota, circa 1900) and inherited by his son, Horace Lester Jennerson (1904-1996, Lieutenant colonel, US Army); donated to MAI by Colonel and Mrs. Jennerson in 1970.
